After graduating from law school and passing the California Bar Exam, Robert Farzad worked for 2 years at a local Orange County law firm where he was quickly elevated in rank as a skilled litigator.

At that law firm, he handled civil litigation matters of different types. He successfully handled his first jury trial within a very short time of passing the California bar exam.

In 1998, Robert Farzad started his own law firm. His initial areas of law were civil litigation and criminal law. Mr. Farzad enjoyed criminal law because it got him in the courtroom where he could use his oral advocacy skills. The civil litigation matters provided him with a balance of effective legal writing as well as the ability to use his courtroom skills. Civil litigation included representation of both plaintiffs and defendants.

As the law firm grew, Robert Farzad became interested in family law. He handled his first family law trial shortly after gaining an interest in it. He found that family law provided the greatest balance of representing clients who are truly in need for intelligent and effective legal representation while providing a balance between utilizing his legal writing and courtroom advocacy skills. He also found that many family law attorneys did not have very good trial skills, were weak on the California Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence and, even those who had practiced law for decades, were not impressive in their handling of matters.

While family law can be an emotional and highly charged area of law, Robert Farzad started to build a different approach. One that focused on facts, law, logic and common sense. That and a high skill level in procedure, evidence and litigation skills were an excellent combination for the firm's clients.

Today, in 2014, Farzad Family Law is a multi-attorney law firm and one of the top family law firms in Orange County, California. Robert Farzad intends to maintain and build on the integrity, honor and the kind of legal representation that places the law firm among the best.
