Ellisa M. Cruz is a motivated millennial who has launched her communications career as a Social MediaCoordinator in Philadelphia where everyday she is learning more about the public relations and media industry as well as building her skill sets. Outside of her career, Ellisa M. Cruz is a lover of Starbucks, puppies, walking and Beyonce.

Ellisa M. Cruz is currently a Social Media Coordinator where she plays a role in various projects. Her main focus in social media marketing but she also has experiences assisting in SEO projects, content promotion, analytics and reporting. Ellisa M. Cruz is learning more about the public relations and media industries every day and she makes what she learns applicable for her work and every day life.

Outside of work, Ellisa M. Cruz is very passionate about volunteering in programs that helps mentor young girls and women. She is involved in Girls on the Run, sponsored through the YMCA. This is a programs that teaches girls from first through sixth grade fundamental lessons about self-esteem, inner beauty, confidence and friendship while utilizing running to teach these lessons. The 8-week long season ends with a celebratory 5k run and walk to celebrate the achievements made by the girls. There is also a male version of the program called Stride. Ellisa M. Cruz serves as a coach and finds a lot of fulfillment in the position.

On her spare time, Ellisa M. Cruz also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoys time with her two younger sisters who are her best friends.

Ellisa M. Cruz is a graduate of West Chester University with a degree in Communications Studies. In West Chester, Ellisa M. Cruz was actively involved on campus and in the community. She had a focus on Public Relations related extra curriculars including becoming the Social Media Chair for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and becoming a member of Lambda Pi Eta, Communications Honor Society. In addition, Ellisa M. Cruz held a full-academic scholarship and was honored the Who's Who in American Colleges and University award.

Outside of academic achievements, Ellisa M. Cruz achieved a lot on her spare time being involved in many on an off campus activities. Ellisa M. Cruz was actively involved in the Office of Student Affairs where she served as an Orientation Leader and Resident Assistant. She served as an Orientation Leader for two summers in a row and a Resident Assistant for two and a half years in a row. Through her position as a Resident Assistant she was able to connect to her residents and help them in a lot of practical and personal problems.

Another proud accomplishment of her undergraduate career was founding an organization called BODYpeace that served to promote positive self-esteem and body image at West Chester University and the surrounding community. In the first year, BODYpeace gained over 85 members and continues to thrive today.

In the future, Ellisa M. Cruz will continue to learn more about her industry and strive to challenger herself in her position. Ellisa M. Cruz hopes to excel in her public relations career to one day reach a management position. In order to do this, Ellisa M. Cruz intends to attend an MBA program. With a MBA degree and several years of professional experience, she is confident to be able to reach her career goals.

Outside of her career Ellisa M. Cruz also hopes to achieve other goals that will help her live a happy and fulfilled life. Ellisa M. Cruz has always wanted to be to have the opportunity to travel. Never having traveled to Europe, Asia or South America, she would love to have the opportunity to travel across these areas and make rich experiences and memories with friends and loved ones. She would also love to be able to one day combine her love for the public relations and media industry with her desire to travel.

Ellisa M. Cruz also hopes to continue her path in volunteering and mentoring young girls. She hopes to continue her involvement in Girls on the Run as well as soon join the Big Brother, Big Sister program.
