Hi, I am John Eric DeTitta and I began the organization Feed The Arts in order to support across the United States through time funding. I also am a filmmaker, producer and screenplay writer who currently lives in New York City.
John DeTitta has been involved with business development, sales, marketing and film production for over 30 years experience. During this time, John has worked with Fortune 500 companies, Entertainment Companies and some of the most well known film producers in the industry he has had articles in various worldwide organizations including the NY Times, Wall St Journal, Nikkei Stock Exchange and Variety and many more.
Aside from being an accomplished musician, for many years John DeTitta has talked to, filmed and interviewed artists, filmmakers, authors and musicians for a documentary he produced called ‘Ten Talents’ movie. The movie showcases an unbelievably talented community and the constant hurdles that they face to establish themselves into the industry and manage both their business and personal lives. The movie ‘Ten Talents’ has been shown in theatres across the country in major markets and will be expanding nationwide sometime in 2012.
In 2002, John DeTitta decided to write a movie about his experiences in entrepreneurship and went through the focused task of writing a 170 page screenplay. Upon completion he went out and starting taking it up the stairs of the production world from producer to producer and learned a lot of about the film industry which he scarcely knew existed.
Currently, John DiTitta’s goals in life are focused on assisting entrepreneurs with the lessons which he has learned, and since 2004 his passion has been to create a method of funding the arts that would eliminate the traditional risks of funding and perform the role of funding without taxation and artist begging. That’s what the meaning of ‘Ten Talents’ is; it’s a parable that talks about fully living the gifts we are born with.
We all have people in our lives who constantly remind us of mistakes we’ve made in our lives- often times these are the people closest to you. John DeTitta recognizes these people, but at the same time he has loyal, dedicated people around constantly pushing him to do what they feel I am capable of being. Whom will you follow? I am sure this is a question that you’ve asked yourself, it’s one that we all have.
