He acquired a DOD Top Secret/SCI Clearance initially while serving in the US Army in 1985. His Top Secret Clearance was reactivated in November 2010 while working with The Shaw Group (now Chicago Bridge and Iron, Inc.)

Fritz Heneman joined the United States Army in June 1972. Between 1972 and 1992 he served in numerous combat arms command and staff positions all over the globe. Some of his assignments required him to hold leadership responsibility for approximately 800 of his fellow soldiers. Fritz also served in positions involved with the United States Army Chemical Systems Laboratory, US Army Chemical Research Development and Engineering Center, and the Soldiers Biological and Chemical Command. He retired from the Army as a Field Grade Officer in 1992.

Prior to his service in the US Army, C. Heneman studied engineering at Wichita State University prior to attending United States Military Academy at West Point. He graduated from West Point in 1972 with a Bachelors of Science (BS) in Engineering in 1972. He would return to school in 1979 at Colorado School of Mines where he completed a Masters of Science (MS) Degree in Chemistry in 1981. Fritz attended and was an Honor Graduate from the US Army Command and General Staff College and in 1986 completed a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the Florida Institute of Technology. This Degree was focused on Federal procurement/acquisitions and contract management.

During the timeframe 1992 through 2004 Fritz C. Heneman worked at URS Corporation in Denver, Colorado where he was responsible for managing numerous Federal A/E projects and programs, as well as client accounts. These Federal clients included the U.S. Air Force Space Command, U.S. Air Force Pacific Air Forces, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Pacific Ocean Division), and the U.S. Army Soldiers Biological and Chemical Command. He also served as the URS practice/technology manager for URS Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB) projects worldwide.

In December 2004 through December 2008 Fritz served as the Vice President of Guaranteed Business Solutions and Federal Deal Builder at ARCADIS-US in Denver, Colorado. His role at this company was to identify opportunities and to lead business development activities for Federal programs. His work resulted in Federal contract bookings that totaled over $190 million across a span of four years. Fritz also assisted Federal clients with the understanding of the subtleties of guaranteed offerings and presented guaranteed solution offerings to Department of Defense decision makers. C. Heneman was instrumental in the development and implementation of capture strategies that were necessary to secure identified Federal Environmental Services opportunities.

Other responsibilities that Fritz had while at ARCADIS-US included crafting and negotiating program-specific components of Federal offerings. He was tasked with leading the preparation of program-specific proposals in the company, which included the development of responsive and innovative scopes of work. He also addressed work breakdown structures, milestone billing schedules, strong qualification statements, and innovative cost/pricing strategies to include insured scenarios. Lastly, Heneman developed insightful intelligence that concerned existing and future clients’ buying preferences so as to maximize their experience.

From December 2008 to July 2010, he worked as a senior capture and program manager at Shaw Environmental and Infrastructure (E&I). He successfully supported the pursuit and capture of large Federal opportunities worldwide that held contract values of over $1.3 billion. These contracts were held with notable government agencies such as Federal agencies within the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. As senior capture manager, Fritz led the identification, positioning, pursuit and acquisition of these opportunities.

Some of Fritz Heneman’s other duties at the Shaw E&I revolved around his abilities as a capture manager. He helped develop capture team budgets, identified and negotiated teaming relationships, and developed winning strategies. He led the development of the technical approaches and staff and cost/pricing strategies, as well as coordinating corporate risk management.
Fritz C. Heneman intends to continue his work in the Federal business development and capture management field well into the future.
