After graduating with his bachelor’s degree, he went right on to start a master’s program. A Focus on Insurance
Trevor Garbers’ first position was as a national accounts representative for Ameritas. During the next three years he gained hands-on experience dealing with insurance coverage and learning the system more intricately. As he excelled in his career, he began to take on more responsibilities.
His next position was as regional sales manager of the broker division for AON. Here he was able to even further refine his skills and work with brokers. After just a year he continued to move up the ranks. He spent the next four years as vice president of sales for Colorado Banks Life, focusing on national distribution of sales for voluntary benefits. This primed him for his current position, helping him to build in-depth knowledge of voluntary benefits.
In 2011, Garbers became vice president of national accounts for Allstate Benefits in Jacksonville, Florida. He develops customized solutions for clients and helps them to better understand their coverage and options. During his time working for the company his job has taken him to all 50 states as well as seven different countries. With such a strong passion and proven talent in the field, he became the youngest elected corporate officer at the age of 29.
