TK is a contrarian entrepreneur that is highly misunderstood by people. To create a company like Uber it takes genius, not a conformist VC mindset. It's a real shame that the venture partners behind Uber such as First Round Capital and Benchmark have taken a stance to push Travis out of his company and even go to lengths to disassociate the brand from him completely. I've listened to many video presentations Travis has done in the past and found his insights into entrepreneurship to be very helpful to my own career as an entrepreneur. This guy has big things ahead of him, perhaps even bigger than Uber.
