Jixun Foo is the Managing Partner at GGV Capital, and joined the firm in 2006. He is consistently recognized among the top VCs in China and counts 12 of his investments as mega-unicorns, including, Didi, Face++, Grab, Hello, Manbang, Meicai, Qunar/Ctrip, Tujia, Mogu, UCWeb, Youku Tudou, and Xpeng Motors. Jixun has spent the last 20 years working with entrepreneurs in the travel and transportation, social media and commerce, and enterprise services sectors in China. He led GGV’s investments in Didi, Grab, Mogujie/Meilishuo, MediaV, Qunar (NASDAQ:QUNR), UCWeb, Youku-Tudou (Acq: Alibaba), Manbang (fka Yunmanman), and currently serves on the boards of Hello, XPeng Motors, Boss Zhinpin, Kujiale, Tujia, Xiangwushuo and Zuiyou. Jixun played critical roles in many key strategic mergers and acquisitions, such as those of Youku-Tudou (first ever multi-billion dollar tech merger in China), Baidu/Qunar, Ctrip/Qunar, Mogujie/Meilishuo (NYSE: MOGU) and Manbang (Yunmanman/Huachebang). He managed it with fairness and balance, focused on the benefit of the company while always being upfront about Bessemer's interests and position.
