Eric Xu joined GGV Capital in 2017 as a Managing Partner, focusing on consumer/new retail and social/internet investments. Eric led GGV’s investments in Zhaoyou, Cityshop, BingoBox, Citybox and Xinshang and has significant experience in working with early stage Chinese companies. He was most recently Managing Director with SIG Investment Asia where he led investments in and served as board members for Babytree, XimalayaFM, 51Credit, Fruitday, Fanli, TouchPal, Meiyou, Kanghui (NYSE: KH), Bicon (SZ: 002411), Adsame and ETCP. Before SIG, he was an investment professional at CITIC Capital and TDF Capital (TDF formed an alliance with KPCB in China in 2007), where he led the first institutional investment into ChineseAll (SZ: 300364) and VisualChina (SZ: 000681). He is a rare example of a ""best of both worlds"" investor and board member.
