Biography
Rachel Beider is a licensed massage therapist, birth doula, and the proud owner of Massage Williamsburg. Massage Williamsburg is a therapeutic massage studio, located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Rachel Beider started the massage therapy business in Brooklyn at age 24, and her practice has grown to over 8,000 clients in just 6 years of operation. Rachel Beider credits her success at Massage Williamsburg to hard work, a passion for massage therapy, and her fantastic education at the Swedish Institute. Rachel Beider is driven to provide the kind of massage services that lets her clients relax, unwind and heal. She continues to study and further her education through advanced courses in massage therapy and alternative medicine.
As the Owner of Massage Williamsburg, Rachel Beider is busy and involved in the day to day operations of her 6 room massage studio. Active in the wellness community, Rachel volunteers her time and expertise to work with other small business owners and wellness practitioners to grow their own businesses. Rachel Beider is also working towards developing a regular yoga practice, and has devoted time to learning meditation techniques that can be used in everyday life. Rachel is very interested in furthering her education, studying ergonomics, learning about Alexander Technique, and has an interest in wellness at work programs. Rachel has also donated her massage services to the HRC.
After traveling through Thailand, Rachel Beider became certified in Thai Massage from the prestigious Wat Po Thai massage School. She continued her education at the Swedish Institute in New York City, and after becoming licensed in New York State, went back to school to become certified in Prenatal Massage. Rachel so enjoyed working with pregnant women that she decided to further her education and studied with the Association of Labor Assistants and Childbirth Educators to become a doula and birth advocate.
Rachel Beider hopes to continue to grow her business, Massage Williamsburg, as well as her doula practice. Rachel's plans for the future include starting a Wellness at Work program for businesses, bringing her knowledge of proper ergonomics and her expertise in chair massage to offices, events, and companies in Manhattan and beyond!
