There are few things out there that Joelle has not done or experienced through her personal or professional life.
Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland has worked to make her way through the world and done so with a splash. She attended college at Tufts University near Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in 1852, the university was built on land donated by Charles Tufts on one of the highest points in the Boston area. Their school colors are brown and blue and the school is host to ten different colleges. Students can study majors within the arts and sciences, with graduate schools in medicine, dentistry, and law available as well. All undergraduate programs and some graduate programs are exclusive to the main campus, but there are satellite campuses in Boston, Grafton, and one in Talloires, France.

After graduating college, Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland set off to achieve her professional aims. In the process she also started to participate in certain kinds of activism. She became active with the organization, Educating Girls Globally. This organization works to raise money and work in support of providing girls all around the world with the tools they need to be well educated. In certain countries where the education system is not up to par with the world, and doubly so for females, Educating Girls Globally helps to get girls the education they need to improve their lives and the world around them. Their philosophy is that if girls get the education they need, not only will it benefit the individual, but also help family, community, and economy. Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland is a board member of Educating Girls Globally and helps to raise funds for the organization and its efforts.

Ounavarra Capital is a company she helped to found and is one of the managing partners to this day. They have set themselves up as a boutique investment group, looking for only the best and promising investments in their eyes. The company prides itself on raising capital for groups with promise and benefit. The places where she claimed residency at one point were Zurich, Switzerland, and parts of France and Spain. She also lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for a couple years as a teenager. Some of her favorite experiences in Europe have happened in Munich, Germany, where Oktoberfest is a widely celebrated Bavarian holiday. Though the name would indicate that the festival is held in October, it is actually held mostly in the last weeks of September until the first weekend in October. Originally held as a fair to display the agriculture of the region of Bavaria, Oktoberfest evolved over the last two centuries into a food and drink festival attended by millions worldwide.

She has made it a tradition to travel to the Thousand Islands every summer for a couple weeks with the family just to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Her husband and three children also enjoy the getaway. She tries to keep the family active as much as possible even on vacation. Everyone in the family plays one or more sports, so a lot of activities involve some form of athletic activity. Being down in the tropics, surfing, hiking, and other water activities are a common occurrence. Vacations to other locations will involve skiing, and exploring other athletic activities.

For Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland, a lot of the activity comes from her time playing a numerous amount of sport. She has participated in three triathlons and is aiming for a fourth. She also has run one marathon, which is an accomplishment that not many people can say they’ve done the whole way through.

Her love of activity in both philanthropy and athletic activities, as well as her past with traveling the world and raising a family, has shown that one person can do a lot with themselves if they put their mind to it. She hopes that her accomplishments will encourage others to do great things as well.

She has traveled the world, raised a family, kept up with her athletic hobbies, and had a great career in investment and philanthropy. She will be joining the Mariposa Foundation, as well as supporting Row New York, a group that works to teach underprivileged youth in New York City about the sport of rowing and the teambuilding and friendships it creates. She will keep working with any philanthropy that she things will go far with its mission.

Professionally, Joelle O’Reilly-Hyland will continue her work with Ounavarra Capital LLC. Their work with top-notch clients in the field of investing and capital raising is one of great reward to her and the people it benefits. She also hopes to continue her ability to travel for both personal and professional reasons. The world has been an open book for her to explore so far, and there are still a great many places that she wants to see.

She also plans on participating in a fourth triathlon as a way to keep up with her love of staying in shape and enjoying sports.
