Overworked, underpaid, and overwhelmed The salary was not respectable for our profession, especially for how hard of work and the amount of responsibilities we had to manage on a daily basis. Unfortunately there is a high turnover rate for therapists, clients will even ask when you are planning on leaving. The caseloads are extremely high and you are expected to do clerical related tasks that add up and get in the way of providing direct therapeutic care. There was also little to no room for advancement within the company, and even then the pay for the promotion was not worth the extra responsibilities. Unfortunately they do very little to try to keep you after you become fully licensed.
