White Privilege at Its Ugliest - 5 Star Reviews Are From Management The leadership wants to run a white-centric prep school and you see that in the predominantly white staff and microaggressions towards students AND staff of color. That trickles all the way down to the philosophy on how kids of color behavioral issues are addressed. Guess which families get the most phone calls home and spend the most time out of the classroom. Don?t even think about bringing up issues of race and inequality. The leadership and the complicit admin are too privileged to notice performance disparities at the school between white students and students of color. But do expect to work 80 hours a week since there is no prep time and there is no respect for work-life balance. Also expect issues of trauma, race and socioeconomic inequity to go unaddressed, and be prepared to retaliation if you speak up. But if those issues appear in the classroom, be prepared to be penalized for them. The ?Green? philosophy is a gimmick as evidenced by the Founder?s luxury gas guzzler. But that?s the least of the school?s problems.
