It was a short and definitely not sweet time One of the downsides of working there is that it is "professionally cliquish" with various factions of professional cliques. Those professional cliques are not always obvious. For example, you my assume that all administrators at the same level would be a professional clique. That is not the case. A professional clique could include a director of the program, support staff and a professor. It could be a professional clique that includes various level of staff. More often than not you would have to literally, "socialize" to get information either about professional cliques and/or information to execute job-related tasks. Beware that if any or all of the professional cliques deems you not worthy word will spread and you will be isolated-out thereby complicating your ability to complete your job-related tasks negatively impacting your job performance leading to negative performance evaluations.
