Take your time to find a better place. Whatcha think...no names mentioned: Unsupportive corporate office/management + nepotism/favoritism + ignoring problems until DHS becomes aware (IF they know what to do and if they?re told; there is far more going on than DHS will ever know)= utter chaos. Clients are numbers and enter another system that will fail them because program managers and corporate office folks only work to please DHS, who does not have a viable plan to solve homelessness. Clients are enabled to do what they want and they, along with untrained staff, are set up to fail. Hard work is ignored and the place operates on quotas. Bullying and harassment are tolerated but mistakes (unless you?re related to someone who matters) are not. And don?t get me started on the hotel shelter staff which is overseen by someone who knows nothing about human services, also engages in harassment and bullying of staff and only shows up on site for photo opps. There are better places to work, especially during a pandemic, that will not lead you to age 20 years in a few months and question your value and sanity. Don?t walk?RUN, from this place.
