Glorified Insurance Sales job THIS IS NOT A FINANCIAL ADVISOR JOB, it is almost purely insurance sales, and in that it is not really different from any other run of the mill insurance agencies i.e. in terms of benefits and compensation pretty much everything is commission based with no base salary (not till you hit a certain target). The firm doesn't have a strong investment business except for 1 or 2 advisors. They expect you to sell insurance to your friends and family and after you have exhausted those options, they won't help you with prospecting, leads, etc. There's also no training allowance but they most certainly expect you to attend their training without fail ( I'm not sure how this is legal?!).
