This place is absolutely toxic. It?s like a high school. So much drama. Management plays favorites and anyone with any kind of lead role is so power hungry it?s a joke. I was on the pick team and it seemed like it was mostly new people and they seemed angry all the time. Very confrontational and always on the phone. Who are these people talking to all day? Lol! Don?t get me wrong, a lot of pleasant people who seemed to understand the concept of common courtesy but all the rest wreaked of weed and/or alcohol and really didn?t not give a hoot. I?ve never seen so many people with pants hanging down to their knees trying to be cool. It was not just people downstairs that were rude. Anyone upstairs treated everyone downstairs like peasants. Avoiding eye contact and a general attitude of superiority. They really need to acknowledge that huge and awkward divide. While I was there people joked that the royalty upstairs doesn?t like to mingle with the slaves. I was appalled that this was considered a joke. Such little self awareness from all parties involved. Out leads/supervisors/managers were utterly clueless the whole year or so I was employed at Good Eggs. Changing our schedules every few months with very little notice. No communication and handing out warnings for ridiculous reasons. There?s people there smelling like a pot club and playing around but I got a written warning for being 15 minutes late. I tried to change departments but was told I had to meet certain requirements which was a lie considering a few other people were allowed to switch when they?d all just goof around all day. Playing favorites again. It didn?t matter either way since I heard all the other departments are just as chaotic. We were given free lunch which you had to reheat unless you were lucky enough to have lunch at the same time as the upstairs workers who really mattered, in which case the food was served hot. That seemed like a huge slap in the face. As other reviewers said the place is disorganized company wide. The areas where food is stored is a complete mess. Food everywhere! I?d never order from here after seeing how the workers treat the products. There are 4 bathrooms for at least 100 people and they are completely disgusting! It?s like little kids worked there. I?m not blaming the porters they worked really hard and were really friendly but I can imagine it must be hard to clean up after adults with zero respect for their coworkers. Everyone in lead/supervisor roles seems to be out to get each other so they can claw their way to the top. All day people were talking about others behind their backs. There was relationship drama, actual fist fights and constant arguments. I had to finally leave after a near breakdown one day. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Do not believe any of the recruiters. Broken promises and a scary work environment is all you?ll get at Good Eggs.
