Ehhhhh not the greatest company to work for Management plays favorites and a lot of the managers don't actually want change to happen since most of them are close to retiring and want their jobs to be as easy as possible. They like the illusion of being receptive to change but aren't actually receptive to change. It can get very frustrating because you could fresh, innovative ideas and they will get shot down or ignored. This happened in multiple departments so it was not just one manager doing this. Brown nosing will get you far here-- some people will have going away parties thrown for them and some people will be let go in the middle of the day and only get a company email sent out to inform employees that they are no longer with the company. Literally, one person had been there for over 20 years, everyone loved them, and management couldn't even wait until the end of the day after hours to let them go and had sent an email out to the entire company that they had been let go as they were packing their things. They were very embarrassed and it was super unprofessional. One of the owners is also very pushy with religion. It is bizarre and puts up religious images and kind of pushes it onto people. Very gossipy employees. I've never worked in such a toxic environment where so many people are nice to their coworkers faces and then proceed to gossip about them behind their backs. It was like working with a bunch of middle schoolers sometimes because some of the employees seem to live for gossip. HR had to get involved many times to basically tell employees to stop gossiping about people. Ridiculous.
