Poor communication. May ghost on you.
The work is inconsistent. Accepting an assignment is a little more complicated than it needs to be. The email communication is very poor and some of the training materials are inaccurate. You have to check your email every day after 5 pm so that you can accept an offer by 9 pm though you may go weeks without receiving anything. There are certain kinds of assignments (explicitly religious ones, for example) that they save for particular writers, but that doesn't stop them from assigning them to you anyway, which means you will receive an assignment and read its materials only to find out that you are not actually eligible to complete it. They take full advantage of your being an independent contractor (despite your having to respond to their assignments at a moment's notice) to stop sending you assignments without any communication.
