Relaxed environment, bad management The appointed management is not great - selfseeking, squeezes employees, treats people like pawns. Unfortunately, the Monkarshes rely on and defer to the appointed mgmt too much. Poison in the water. Stress comes from the people there (you deal with some incompetence and a LOT of condescending micro-management).

If you want the absolute worst landlord you can imagine, go with these guys! But seriously, if you are reviewing your lease and see that EJM Development is the landlord, run as fast as you can from them. They will nickle and dime you for literally everything. I'm convinced they have partial ownership in the vendors they use because you will be overcharged by probably double on anything they force you to do. Want to get a second opinion? Oh, wait...you can't. You MUST use their AC company who overcharges everything. Did they leave a cable unplugged when they left? Yep! You get charged again for them coming back. Minimum $1000 charge for anything that goes wrong with the AC. All the roofs get vandalized in the entire complex (probably from some pissed off tenant who couldn't take it anymore), guess who gets charged for the repairs - you! When you move out, they'll be all nice to your face and then you'll get almost all your security deposit taken away for random charges that they never told you about. When your lease comes up for renewal, expect a HUGE jump in price. I have had over 10 landlords between multiple companies and I have never had such a poor experience. They even lost our check multiple times when we had confirmation our bill pay company sent it - so they charged us $500 in late fees each time. I have the same bill pay with all my companies and no others had 1 issue with receiving our rent checks...but 2 from these crooks? Yep. Absolute trash of a company. Special shout out to Frank Palumbo who is probably the worst of them all. Good luck getting him an insurance certificate he's happy about. He literally wants things on it insurance companies can't even write on the certificate. Just an absolute joke...one of the shadiest companies I've ever worked with. I haven't even described half the charges we had in only a few years. Not worth me wasting any more of my time on these losers but I thought it was worth sharing so that I could save whoever is reading this from years of being taken advantage of. If you didn't sign your lease yet, DONT! You're under no obligation to sign it...show your broker THIS review and tell them to never again show you a property owned by EJM Development. Look at their other reviews to confirm this isn't just my experience!
