RUN AWAY They tell you how much they care about their employees, but this couldn?t be further from the truth! The orientation process was extremely unprofessional. They sit you in a room by yourself with a stack of papers and tell you to start signing. They only come in to change the videos that go over policies. When I attempted to address questions I had throughout the process, I was rushed along and treated as if I inconvenienced them by asking questions. This is the only employer I have ever had that requested complete medical records and gave no explanation for that either. At the end of the day, I was asked if I knew of any dates that I would need off. I answered yes and went to grab my calendar when they proceeded by writing ?no? on the form and telling me to fill out time off requests later. The compensation had so many exclusions. ?You will be paid minimum wage for orientation and drive time (but only if the drive is 30 minutes or less because anything over that is considered an unpaid break). If the map states the next client is 19 minutes away but it takes you 24 minutes due to traffic you are told you can only claim the 19 minutes that it ?should have? taken. It is the same scenario for the extra online courses that need to be completed to maintain your CNA certification. The visit time frames are unrealistic. On multiple occasions I was scheduled with one visit ending at the same time that the following visit was supposed to start with only a 5 minute grace period before you?re pointed for being tardy. I had an emergency occur and I called the on-call scheduler the night before my shift. This gave them 11 hours to fill the shift. I received 3 calls and a text message the next morning (all within 20 minutes). I?m not sure if the on-call scheduler failed to relay information but the administrator stated that they were still expecting me to be at my visits for that day. After explaining that I was in the middle of handling an emergency and the fact that I called 11 hours prior in order to give them time to fill the shifts, the administrator then proceeded to try and guilt me for not being able to come in DUE TO AN EMERGENCY! Take my advice - RUN AWAY!! This company is not worth it!
