There's Better Places to Find This Kind of Work
Pay is extremely low One "note" takes about 20-40 minutes depending on the length of voicemail and you only get paid $3/per note. Complicated Format This is not straight transcription. You maybe get a topic of a therapy session, maybe some of what was said and you have to formulate that into specific sections with sentence minimums, specific verbs to use based on session type (which can be confusing) 10 note minimum requirement per week even though we are supposed to be independent contractors, so you can't take other work last minute unless it's also from home and doesn't require all your work hours -Required to work weekends, even Sundays - The management can get passive aggressive when there are extra notes to be completed. They email and write in the group chat about how there shouldn't be extras because we've all been hired, as a mild example. -No flexibility once notes are passed out. You typically get public push back if you want to give them back due to illness or other circumstances. Even if you can't hear the voicemail or they give you too little. It's on you to find someone else to take them. The management always seems to be running around putting out fires and constantly hiring instead of figuring out how to keep writers on staff ($$$)
