It used to not be like this, but maybe due to the rapid growth and lack of change management experience, the culture has unfortunately changed: Partners are clearly nervous about their own job security Rather than providing feedback, Partners talk about employees to others (maybe in hopes that someone else will provide feedback..or maybe due to the unstable job security..?). Unfortunately, this sends the message that this behavior is acceptable or encouraged Experts in field, but not balanced with people management/development Title has become more and more important (like Big 4) Development opportunities are unknown and inconsistent across offices
