Unprofessional Owners Satu and Celeste are hands down the most unprofessional owners of a company I have ever worked with. Satu and Celeste company Tuleste is completely run by interns, having 5-6 interns at a time. The unpaid interns run and create all the social content, editorial contents, editing and retouching to assembling all the jewelry. Satu and Celeste have no creativity for there brand and rely 100% on their unpaid staff. All of there jewelry is outsourced from China, and assembled by interns in house. They only have 1 full time paid employee, which is telling why Tuleste doesn't have other paid staff, they have no management skills. Satu and Celeste completely take advantage of there unpaid staff. Having them work months on end with no payment, no stipend, and no lunch. Both owners take no responsibility for there own actions and have to push blame on anyone else but themselves. Ringing staff on Thanksgiving to give out about work that they approved and turn around to staff to give out and using the argument its "common sense". Scalding new graduates to tell them they're not being "creative enough" or not putting in "effort". When in hindsight Celeste and Satu are horrific at communicating, which confuses with there staff, which ends up shouting and giving out by both bosses. Celeste and Satu have been known about lying to interns about taking them on full time paid after 2-3 months, which never happens, they say it to each intern to make them stay unpaid. And lie about all the career opportunities after working with them which is a complete fabrication. The string of abusive text messages from both bosses is shocking calling staff members "unprofessional" for forgetting to take a trash bin out in the office to give out about not getting the right colored napkins for one of there parties. Satu and Celeste completely abuse their power to even making interns paint walls, rake leaves outside to even make interns do security for there events for hours with no food or pay. To even sending abusive messages to international students threatening visas. I wanted to write this review as I recently saw an advertisement for an art gallery intern for Tuleste and wanted to warn students, newly graduates to against working with the owners. These women do not and will not care about you and your needs, it's not worth the "experience" at all. There are so many companies in NYC that will give you more time and respect. Also for people reading this, stylists and customers who are researching the brand and thinking about purchasing jewelry from the brand. I wouldn't waste your hard-earned money or work with.
