Worst work experience I ever had - Dysfunctional toxic culture
Bad behavior is celebrated - the more a person makes the most people look bad, the more likely that person will get promoted. That is, until one or more of the people h/she stepped on the way to the top, tops them. Then they are marched out the front door, through the big lobby, forced to carry a box of their personal items while everyone watches. The CEO and the COO (all of them) were truly horrible people. We would hear them walking down the ha; (recognizing their steps) and quickly dive into another office or the restroom. We never knew when the cannons would point our way and the firing line would begin. There were a good number of people who just kept their head down and would not say anything for fear of losing their jobs. Consequently, they did not learn much or grow since they never felt comfortable asking questions or taking risks.
