You don't want to work here. Labor Law Violations - Hypocritical, cronyistic, management with Double Standards, - Disregard for wellbeing of employees - Worked to the bone with little reward - Expensive & crappy healthcare They like to make employees work over 9 hours on weekends with no break, if there's only two employees present. Management will play ignorant when it comes to illegal scheduling, I imagine hoping that you don't bring it up. They'll shuffle around your schedule with less than two weeks notice. This is a company where they're looking to see how they can extract the most value out of you possible. I also find it suspect that the last three highly positive reviews came from managers. Though I won't pretend that's an easy role either. The company drills in their heads, pressures them on and on, that store revenue is the #1 priority. I knew many managers that had good hearts but less and less leeway with time to put their baristas first. The company has changed significantly. It's expanded, deadset on becoming starbucks but with good coffee. It used to be more hospitable and communal. Throughout my years, I saw myself and my coworkers progressively more demoralized. I remember my first day, I was shocked to see how happy people were that worked here. Before I left, I saw myself and others in a precarious state. It didn't feel like it mattered how hard you tried; everybody was on the chopping block. One mistake, however innocuous, despite the context, and you'd be punished, talked down to like you were trash. I'm depressed to see what this company has become. It's like all the worst aspects of a large and small company came together: The abusive practices and greed of a large one and the disorganization and amateur practices of a small one. This place is an example of why we need unions.
