Your first red flag in a line of several to come if you wish to pursue a career at Mediquip Int. If you are not in sales or upper management. If you have personal integrity, and if you are disturbed by injustice, unfairness, and incompetence. I would recommend steering clear of this company at all costs. This is a prime example of what Americans think of when generalizing about "Corporate America" in a negative light. My termination was a blessing and in no way am I bitter. However, The mere existence of such an organization compels me to give fair warning at the very least. To be more specific, these are just a few outrageous situations I have had the displeasure of being part of. For starters, my termination was a result of two things: A new owner who has misplaced his backbone and who claims to hate this "rumor mill" all while making employment decision based on those very rumors. Combined with an incompetent and miserable Director who decided she did not like me and started disciplining me for trivial non-issues that boarded on discrimination (we will never know because coincidentally, I requested all discrimination policies to review the day before I was terminated). Any and all accountability will be dispersed among the work force. It is not abnormal for management to throw anyone they can under the bus to make themselves appear hard working and capable. The best examples I can give are felt across the board on a regular basis. For instance, A new program that was sloppily implemented with little or no planning and with members poorly trained. Work load will increase and management incompetence will hinder productivity. As members struggle to keep up, people will be pulled into offices and written up for lack of productivity. Clearly I'm rambling because I could write a book, but let me wrap it up by saying this. Mediquip strives to maintain mediocrity. They have a complete lack of diversity when it comes to experience and ideas. And anyone who disagrees will be disciplined for speaking up even when genuinely concerned. Management wants someone who shuts up and will take unfair and misplaced critiques. I sincerely hope the owner will try his best to be a man and run things with integrity for no one should have to encounter such misery in their lifetime.
