Know what type of environment you?re getting into! Engineering management will hinder you throughout your career here. There is little to no room for growth. You are expected to perform at a high level right from the start, so if you lack experience in this field, be aware of this. Consistently working 8AM-7PM workdays, with little reward for doing so. Location is pretty awful as well, Ronkonkoma is deep Long Island where there is nothing of interest close by. Engineering management will not be on the lookout for you, so beware of any missteps you make. You will be blamed when projects do not go according to plan or are delayed. A lot of ?sales? work for an engineering role. You will be expected to push for services and to convince customers to pay for more than needed, which is a bit unsettling. Overall, not a pleasant experience working here, it is a bit depressing of an environment to say the least.
