Terrible management Reopened store with mostly new employees. Received at most 3 hours of training, then the criticism and negativity from management began. I did a good job of showing initiative in leading, selling and administrative tasks without training, but nothing I did on my own was recognized as a good job. I was asked several times why I had not done a task that I had initiated and completed. They started on us immediately, pushing us to get our numbers up, without any training, encouragement or support in how to get there. They repeated the same "behaviors" over and over that they wanted us to perform, without any explanation. It was robotic and uncaring for employees and customers. Though I was beginning to establish relationships with return and new customers, it was never recognized. I had customers hugging me and thanking me for helping them, but it was never enough for management. The store was disorganized, needed supplies were not ordered, we were expected to print out and complete daily forms and lead the floor without any training or direction. The first time I saw the sheet listing my floor lead duties was after I resigned. Management should have provided each lead with this sheet and worked with us on the floor before having us "watched" in our performance. It was a highly disappointing and unnecessary experience. Unless they get organized, provide training and support their staff, they will not survive.
