Pay. Your. Interns. I honestly don?t know how this internship would look like in non-pandemic times! However, since this period will be longer than what we expected, during my time there, I just felt exploited. I understand companies are facing money issues right now, but that?s not an excuse to hire an intern, make him work a full-time job (potentially working more hours than expected) with no weekly/monthly payment, working with stressful and unrealistic goals, then assume this won?t affect their mental health. How can we keep it nurturing a community that promotes wellbeing while there is no nurture in the HQ? The whole Daybreaker concept is lovely, but it does look fake when you look closer. If you?re an international student and English is not your first language, be aware when applying for a job there. Since day one of my internship, the company?s CEO didn?t have patience with me. - Communication issues
