High stress work environment. One employee on the 2nd shift made working conditions a nightmare. HR was informed of his behavior but took no action. Bathrooms are horribly foul, filthy, and poor ventilated Job offers zero benefits of food or drink, prizes, or any kind of perks. Workers are given no notice when Providien closes down for an entire month in December. An amazing display of the owner's contempt for the workers who make this business profitable. The job itself is boring beyond belief. You're sitting or standing in front of a machine and taking parts out for 8 hours a day. The pay is rock bottom awful. The quarterly company meetings have one topic: Providien's workers are doing a lousy job and need do to make more profits for the owners of Providien. The organizers of these meetings boastfully recite how many millions of dollars Providien is making from various clients, and expects those of us making $12 an hour to applaud. Then various management drones one by one march to the front of the room to scold us that our work isn't good enough and we've let the company down once again. The only good thing about these meeting is the refreshment table, which is empty of refreshments The lunchroom is atrocious and smells almost as bad as the bathroom. You have to punch a time clock and wear hats and special coats. Electronic monitors are placed above the workfloor admonishing everyone that "it's almost the end of the month, work harder!" Painfully boring repetitive work. There can't be a more boring job than working at Providien.
