Disappointing Experience Prior to being hired by MCG, a great friend and former, long-time employee of MCG warned me to be sure they have a long-term plan. At that point, I wasn't quite sure what was meant, until it was too late. I was essentially brought on as a third party staff aug, for a failing project. While Leadership knew I was at a program which was struggling, and the environment toxic, I received four (4), promises of a very-much needed Client Executive site visit, and while just 30 miles away in NYC prior to each of those promises, never followed through. I was the only MCG Employee on this site. "Take care of your employees, and they'll take care of you." Next, after a year on the chaotic project, I informed the CEO I needed to be removed from the project because it was impacting my health. In December 2018, he promised to have the HR Person find another project for me in January. January came and went without a call from either the CEO nor the HR Person. In February, I knew I needed to take matters into my own hands and found a new opportunity. I gave my notice to MCG, fulfilled the timeline of the two-week notice, turned in my laptop, crossed all t's and dotted all i's. Unfortunately I didn't listen to the second piece of advice, and that was to be sure I got all my money due me before I turned everything in. In the end, they did not pay the travel bonus as stipulated in the contract. I sent reminder, request, gave them a month, then came a promise from the CEO it would be paid at the second quarter, then the second quarter came and went and no payment. I sent additional emails asking for them to "do the right thing", with integrity. But still no payment. "Take care of your employees and they will take care of you" Make sure they have the pipeline to feed your career, and that your speciality is important to them. They lost a few significant clients, and half their people because they didn't have the pipeline to support a bench.
