Low pay. Toxic Culture. No room for growth. I am disappointed with how DPI Direct, Inc. treats their employees. Here are my reasons why: - There is no room for growth - The pay is a joke - The culture is disturbing (bullies thrive) THERE IS NO ROOM FOR GROWTH/THE PAY IS A JOKE: When I interviewed, I was told DPI was a place to grow one?s career. That could not be further from the truth. Their definition of ?growth? is assigning more and more complex responsibilities, without offering a raise. Going off of that, do not expect reviews and raises here. It is like pulling teeth to get a raise, and if you DO happen to get one (after asking management several times), it is mediocre at best. You will most likely be doing the same tasks for as long as you work there. If, however, you are a hard worker, management will continuously add more random/complex responsibilities, that lessen THEIR plates, until you can barely get everything done (and once again, no raises offered). But watch out: If your workload becomes unmanageable at times, you will get yelled at for not getting everything done. This is not a time-management issue. One person can only do so much, so do not beat yourself up! THE CULTURE IS DISTURBING (BULLIES THRIVE): There is no handbook at DPI, which is odd. We have continuously asked management for one, but they keep stating the ?final draft? has not been completed yet. The environment is toxic and pretty much everyone is unhappy. This results in rude individuals acting out. Certain individuals have loved to throw others under the bus in an attempt to frame them, telling management others were ?not doing their job.? Whenever someone is over-the-top rude to other colleagues and it is brought to management?s attention (even with hard evidence), management tells the reporter to ?stand up for themselves? and ?ignore the negativity.? Management generally DOES speak to the bullies behind closed doors after each report, but whatever they speak about is NOT effective, as the bullies revert back to their old ways, typically within a week or two. Overall, the turnover rate is extremely high. It is normal to see people join the team, stay for a month or so, and then quit, effective immediately. All in all, I would not recommend working here. Find a job that will actually value your skills, background and education. If you are extremely desperate for a job, I would suggest only taking a job here until you can land something better. But if you are a rude person who enjoys bullying others and sucking up to look the ?best,? you will enjoy working at DPI.
