Overworked, Not Flexible, and Toxic Horrible work culture - No training/onboarding process - Management is self-absorbed and inexperienced - No HR Department - Lacks professionalism in the workplace - Long hours - No flexibility - Employees are disposable Don't stay at Bask too long because it will leave you jaded. Similar to what the reviews say, it is a frat environment. Your work will be more enjoyable if your views are more right-leaning and you're great at brown-nosing. The first warning sign was how quickly and desperately they wanted to hire people (I received an offer an hour after the interview). The first few weeks are lonely and confusing, there is no training or onboarding process and the team is not welcoming to new hires. The "training" is random and menial tasks are given to you without any context or explanation. Since there is no HR department, management can get away with acting and saying what they want. The team of directors is young with no experience on how to manage people. There were many times where a director made comments to their junior employees that should've been cause for termination; but because they are a small company what passes as harassment gets brushed off (even if you escalate the issue to the managing director). Favoritism is real at Bask, management will spend more time to educate whoever they favor the most. You're not saving lives! The marketing budgets Bask works with are laughable compared to what better agencies are working with, but if you make a small mistake management will make you feel super incompetent instead of educating and finding ways to help you improve. Bask is not understanding about work/life balance. If you don't stay late or work 60+ hours a week you will be ostracized by colleagues and management. I worked with a colleague who was frequently overwhelmed and it was really disheartening. Bask does not trust its employees so wfh is not an option. Also proceed with caution when asking for vacations. Takeaway: If you're not desperate for a job or have other offers don't accept the offer at Bask because with their high turnover rate the thirst is real for new employees.
