Unhealthy and Unsustainable One of the most toxic workplaces I have ever been a part of. Incompetent management has lead the company to the edge of destruction time after time. I got the feeling while I was there, my only purpose was to allow the owner to feel better about himself intellectually. Micromanagement is rampant and you will be probed every day, multiple times, as to "what you are doing" and "why this isn't done yet". Talent and skill is often wasted here to increase the ability to be subverted and controlled. Work ethic is completely overlooked here. If you are a hard worker, you will be directly punished with unreasonable expectations and belittled when those expectations are not met. This company also has an issue of guilting employees for taking Paid Time Off which was always appalling to me. Also, many of the employees have become quite bitter and toxic due to these negative business practices. This bad attitude is accepted and even encouraged by management. Compensation is not competitive and neither are the benefits. But from the feeling I got in the final months of being employed with them, this company is on the way out, so this is unsurprising.
