Yeah, I should have read the negative reviews about this shitshow of an agency They said I was being hired full time after a contract. In fact, their plan was to hire me for three months, bite the bullet, and pay the (very reasonable) salary I was asking for. In reality, they wanted to rehire someone else who had to leave in January (I had already started as a freelancer and was still only a few weeks in during his entire tenure). He suddenly wasn't available for the foreseeable future because of a "family related" event was what I was told, and no mention was made of his coming back. Until a few months later, when they unceremoniously then "laid me off" when he was available again. I was told, with so much fake sincerity, that I was being laid off due to my major client running out of money and work; my last day was a Friday, on Monday he was back. I would have preferred to have known the truth myself, instead of having to figure it out when I was told by one of those few decent people that the other guy had been rehired.
