Located in the bustling Brooklyn Tech Triangle, the Brooklyn Laboratory Charter Schools (LAB) was established in 2014 as a middle school catering to students up to 8th grade. After winning a $10 million grant from Emerson Collective in a nationwide competition, LAB expanded its operation to include a high school wing in 2017, allowing students to complete their high school diplomas upon graduation.
The LAB educational network serves a predominantly lower-income population of around 600 students annually, mostly students of colour. Its objective is to furnish scholars with the digital, ethical, and academic foundations and leadership qualities they necessitate to flourish in higher education and beyond.
