Thomas McCorry has enjoyed a distinguished career at Constellation Brands and is a global beer, wine, and spirits leader. Over more than 20 years, he played a pivotal role in the company's growth, holding several key financial leadership positions. Constellation's extensive portfolio includes well-known brands like Corona, Modelo, Robert Mondavi, and Svedka, all of which benefited from his financial expertise and strategic direction.
McCorry began his journey with Constellation in 2004 and quickly rose. His first significant role was as Vice President of Global Accounting, where he managed the company's global accounting close process. In this capacity, he could streamline operations and reduce the time to close financial reports by eight days while improving the quality and accuracy of those reports. He also played a vital role in developing global cash flow reporting processes, significantly reducing preparation time by 10 days and improving efficiency across the organization.
In 2012, McCorry transitioned to Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis for the Wine & Spirits division, overseeing the financial strategy for a $2.7 billion profit business. His leadership in this role set the foundation for subsequent roles, including Vice President of Commercial Finance. In this capacity, he implemented a zero-based budgeting process and centralized non-price investments, resulting in greater financial visibility and alignment with the company's commercial priorities.
From 2021 until 2023, McCorry served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Beer Division, a vital role that involved managing an $8 billion revenue business. During his tenure, he led strategic initiatives to optimize capital investments, reduce planned capacity investments by $1.5 billion, and improve cost efficiency, contributing to more substantial margins and enhanced operational performance.
Before joining Constellation, McCorry spent seven years in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Andersen. He is also dedicated to philanthropy, establishing a scholarship fund at his alma mater, SUNY Geneseo, and actively supporting various community initiatives.
Thomas McCorry earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo and became a Certified Public Accountant. In 2012, he completed an Executive Development Program at Dartmouth College. Outside of his professional accomplishments, he enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their children.
