Ken Termini’s career began after he graduated from Penn State University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He started in the industry with Revlon, where he worked for two years before joining Forest Pharmaceuticals. Throughout his 27-year tenure at Forest, Ken held various roles in sales and management, steadily climbing the ranks. His dedication and performance earned him several prestigious company awards, including Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year, all of which highlighted his impact on the business.
In 2002, Ken transitioned to a corporate leadership role, taking charge of the State Government Affairs Department. His responsibilities expanded in 2005 when he was promoted to create and lead the Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department during a significant change in healthcare policy with the Affordable Care Act. Ken’s career at Forest Pharmaceuticals concluded with a return to a field sales position, where he worked as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan), focusing on hospital-based treatments for infectious diseases.
Ken’s decision to retire at 50 resulted from his long-term financial planning and discipline. At 19, a family friend advised him to divide his life into three parts: the first for learning, the second for hard work and supporting his family, and the third for enjoying the rewards of his efforts. This advice allowed Ken to retire early and enjoy a fulfilling second chapter in life. He attributes his early retirement to a disciplined approach to financial management, working with trusted advisors, and consistently executing his economic plans.
