Steve G. Smithwick is the President and CEO of Master Wall and Creative Wall Products, Inc., specializing in engineered exterior wall systems that enhance buildings' aesthetics and environmental performance. Smithwick founded Master Wall, Inc. in 1987 and Creative Wall Products, Inc. in 2005 to provide high-quality products to the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries, along with exceptional customer service and competitive pricing.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the building materials industry, Steve has developed a deep expertise in exterior insulation and finishing systems. His knowledge of these systems has been integral to his success. He is a strong proponent of Continuous Insulation and Finish Systems (CIFS®), which improve thermal efficiency by reducing energy loss through thermal breaks found in traditional stud and joist systems.
Steve credits his Christian faith as a guiding force in his personal and professional life. His company’s mission reflects this: "To seek God’s guidance in all decisions and to give Him glory for any results." He encourages his employees to uphold high career and personal standards. This approach has been instrumental in making Master Wall a leader in the Exterior Insulation Finishing Systems (EIFS) industry, offering products such as air/water barriers, coatings, and adhesives.
Steve attended Southern Technical Institute in Marietta, Georgia. In 1987, he saw an opportunity to provide the building industry with innovative siding products to lower installation costs for commercial exteriors. The products sold through Creative Wall Products provided an affordable alternative for commercial facades, offering the beauty of traditional materials like metal, stucco, and wood grain.
As Master Wall grew, Steve expanded his business with Creative Wall Products, promoting engineered wall systems that outperformed traditional cladding. The EIFS product line includes a variety of finishes, including textured stucco, wood grain, brick, and stone, designed to improve energy efficiency when paired with the company’s moisture and thermal protection components.
Steve’s leadership has played a crucial role in the success of both companies. His business acumen and commitment to the industry have fostered strong relationships and helped expand operations to multiple manufacturing sites.
Steve G. Smithwick remains a respected leader in the EIFS Industry Member Association (EIMA), where he has served in various leadership roles. He is also dedicated to his local community, supporting organizations such as Calvary Christian School and helping improve the lives of older adults. He has been married to Donnie for 51 years and is the father of four adult children and a proud grandfather.
