Boro "Bob" Skoric has spent nearly 40 years helping individuals reconnect with the world through sound. As an audioprosthologist and board-certified specialist in hearing instrument sciences, he combines his professional knowledge with a genuine passion for his patient’s well-being. He is the founder and president of Beltone-Skoric Hearing Aid Center, a network of 37 locations across northern Michigan. His goal has always remained the same: to help people regain their hearing and improve their overall quality of life.
Born in Eastern Europe and now residing in West Palm Beach, Florida, Bob Skoric's path began in a different field—music. For 30 years, he performed Serbian folk and Balkan music, both locally and internationally. His musical journey began in Donji Stepci, where he was influenced by his father and uncles, who were musicians. He picked up the guitar at age eight, eventually discovering his love for the accordion, which he learned under the guidance of a respected teacher. His dedication to music earned him the title "First Accordion of North America and Canada" in 1985.
Outside of his professional work, Bob Skoric enjoys recording acoustic music in his studio and cherishing time with his family. His deep connection to music allowed him to understand sound as more than just a scientific concept—it became intensely personal and human. This perspective eventually led him to pursue a career in hearing care, where he now helps those who have withdrawn from the world due to hearing loss.
Although not a medical doctor, Skoric is certified in audioprosthology and hearing instrument sciences. His role includes assessing hearing loss and fitting patients with hearing aids. He is an active member of the International Hearing Society and has served as Vice President of the Michigan Alliance of Hearing Care Professionals.
Boro has helped over 20,000 individuals improve their hearing and quality of life. His work extends beyond just fitting hearing aids; he is committed to educating patients about the importance of addressing hearing loss early and the available solutions.
