I have been involved in many different aspects of IT in the last 26 years. I currently work where I feel my skills are most needed and where I can learn and contribute to a company. I've done some nice Powershell scripting recently that I enjoyed. To aid in evaluating various job ticketing systems I developed prototypes of the functionality required using both Atlassian Jira Service Desk and ServiceNow.

A sample of my career highlights includes:
• Researched and implemented a development framework thereby laying the foundation for a more standards based development platform, including improved maintenance and increased speed of new development products.
• Facilitated rapid, accurate management decision-making through the establishment of dashboards that included financial and operational performance data, as well as a heat map of income per client and work category for ITS Tertiary Software.
• Delivered a more maintainable code, early identification of program problems, improved junior developer skills and a stabile system that drove profitability through the initiation of code reviews that measured program codes against documented standards on a weekly basis.
• Generated new company revenue streams by continually investigating new technologies, and improving processes that expanded capacity, including the development of interfaces to mobile applications.
• Addressed all non-conformance issues, conducting final document entry into the quality management system and informing all staff of its content.

Australian National University , Australia , Canberra , Maintain current PHP web system for Job Logging and user maintenance. Manage installation of electricity monitoring hardware (Buddy) and report on usage to the School Manager. Produced web prototypes for top management to be able to see how to manage leave, job approvals and expenditure approvals all on one screen, with the view to implementing a full system in the future. Used PHP, HTML and Bootstrap 4.0. Manage the business analysis and preparation of business proposal to move the current job logging system to ServiceNow. Prepare proof of concept using ServiceNow catalogs and categories. Prepare servers to move to a Shibboleth-based Single Sign-on environment. Setup single sign-on on one of our servers (IIS) to interface to the University’s Shibboleth SSO system. Then changed one of our existing systems (which I wrote in PHP) to make use of the SSO interface so that users did not have to log in again. Coordinate internally the move to a new room booking (Resource Booker) tool to be used by the entire university: this included room equipment audits. Development Microsoft based chat bots for student and staff (grants) inquiries using Azure and coding in C#. Complemented the design using QnaMaker and LUIS. An interface to WeatherUnderground was written in C# using an AJAX call to show what the current weather is. This service delivers the data in JSON format that then needed to be decoded and displayed.
