Biography
With BFA degrees in Sculpture, Writing, Dance, and Vocal Music, Marissa has already acquired quite the creative chops, and is forever passionate to broaden her horizons through creative means. Marissa is at a definite turning point as she readdresses her truest desires and truths, and begins to walk the paths far less traveled by those before her.
Marissa has been freelance writing to support her pursuit of poetic opportunities, and is, at the moment, involved in various artistic endeavors. Her home base is currently in flux as she explores the opportunities different locations have to offer. Currently, Marissa resides in Colorado, though her mind has already been wandering to next place adventures may play out.
Recently, Ms. Waraksa finished a short film which she had choreographed and directed. Her film the "U.S. of A.mnesia" was shown in film festivals across the globe. She was also Editor of Women's Ideologies and Creative Director Assistant for the global magazine TRIBE de MAMA (@tribedemama) for the past year.
Marissa is working to take a new role in the creative industries, spending her time composing scripts, novels and poetry as ways to explore and allow her voice to develop. She is also, however, patiently awaiting the next muse for her mind to coil around, analyze, and craft into a creation.
