United States Air Force member Robert Zabel is an artist, writer, and overall remarkable man.
Robert Zabel has combined his experience as a poet, musician, artist, and fighter pilot to develop a firm sense of commitment and citizenship. A graduate student from Oklahoma State University, he currently enjoys pursuing his many hobbies and helping his community grow.
One of the organizations he actively volunteers with is concerned with troops who have received traumatic brain injuries. While many soldiers come home with scars, both physical and emotional, others may come home with TBI (traumatic brain injuries) that can affect their lives in almost every conceivable way. TBI victims may even lose the ability to speak, walk, or any number of other senses. The work Robert Zabel does is fascinating because he understands the devotion these soldiers have.
He also enjoys playing his guitar and Native American flute. He attended Oklahoma State University on scholarships and grants. Founded in 1890, the university is a flagship institution and well-renowned for its engineering and agricultural specializations and schools. It is also known for its athletics, a point of pride for countless universities throughout the country. The university has everything a student needs; housing, Greek life, student organizations, and most importantly scholarships.
Scholarships allow students to attend universities on a dime. Though some are as small as a few hundred dollars and others full-tuition, scholarships are a blessing for students across the world seeking an education. Donors set up trusts or directly give to students with potential to do great things in the world, but actively following through on the promise is not easy.
The best students are self-starters and motivated from the get-go. These students actively study, become involved in student life and athletics, and grow into miniature branding tools for any given university. Finding success on a university-level takes a lot of commitment. For many students, college is the first time they are away from home. The most important thing for students to remember is that they are in charge of their own destiny at school and they only take away what they put in. If students elect to party and sleep through class, that is their own prerogative, though others take advantage of institutions in order to secure a future, especially when the price of an education is going up every year.
While at Oklahoma State, he received his BA in art, history, and political science. Art majors usually start with survey courses and study a variety of artistic movements and styles. Some art majors move on to a career as a museum curator, restoration expert, or even a teacher. The best artists, however, actually are able to sell their work and hopefully make a living from it.
History majors are a lot more useful than people are led to believe. Like art majors, history majors begin their education with broad survey courses in world history. As they go on, the courses become more specific and cover small amounts of time. History majors learn how to develop precision and unparalleled research skills.
Political science majors, on the other hand, deal with things a lot more contemporary than art and history majors. These students are active, well-versed in world politics and news, and usually looking for a career in management, political organization, or elected representation. These high-powered students are usually forward-thinking and smart individuals with an eye for perfection and communication.
The year 1986 marks the time when Robert Zabel joined the ROTC, a life-changing experience that has helped shape him into the person who he has become today. The ROTC program is usually implemented and operated through a conglomeration of area high schools and allows students to prepare for a military career. It fosters determination, strong will, and gives potential soldiers an edge in every aspect of life. He performed well, though his immediate aspirations led him elsewhere before becoming a full-fledged member of the United States Air Force. Soon after graduating from Oklahoma State University he joined the active United States Air Force. The Air Force was formed in 1947 and deals with a range of operations and functions, including special operations, cyberspace superiority, precision attack, command and control, and others. It has more than 330,000 active personnel made up of motivated soldiers.
Later, Robert Zabel received a master’s degree in air and space studies, an advanced field concerned with flight and other aviation fields. While in the Air Force, Robert Zabel served as a back seat fighter pilot and logged more than 750 combat hours. He then went on to become an editor for 4RV Publishing Co.
Editors, no matter the publication company’s size or the type of content the company produces, are managers with an English-type background. They run a business, for one, but also need to judge, critique, comment, and put out readable material. Processing a manuscript (or even a small journal) takes hundreds of man-hours, and every word, comma, and page number needs to be looked at. Other than the grammar-specific aspects, editors are usually accompanied by page designers who lay out the text and prepare any given document for publishing.
