Brooks Equipment

Brooks Equipment Company cannot brook inadequate fire safety. The wholesale company distributes fire extinguishers, fire hoses, nozzles, sprinkler system equipment, and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. It also supplies replacement parts for many of its products, and hosts safety training courses at many of its locations. Brooks Equipment maintains warehouses in more than a dozen cities throughout the US. Founded in San Francisco in 1941 by Charles Neal, the company moved its headquarters to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1980 to be closer to customers concentrated in the eastern US. Investment firm Behrman Capital sold Brooks Equipment to fellow investment firm Freeman Spogli in 2010.
