Greater Boston Food Bank

Through the compassion and commitment of our supporters, staff, partners and volunteers, The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB) takes a bold, innovative and multi-pronged approach to achieve our mission to end hunger here. GBFB is the largest hunger-relief organization in New England and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year, we distributed more than 54 million pounds of nutritious food, enough to provide healthy meals to over 500,000 people who struggle to have eat. We are committed to increasing our food distribution to provide at least one meal a day to every person in need in Eastern Massachusetts while supporting healthy lives and healthy communities. Mission:?The Greater Boston Food Bank will work passionately to End Hunger. It is our vision to grow to a new level of raising revenue, purchasing food and increasing distribution channels. We will use our facility to leverage appropriate response and collaboration to impact and reduce hunger in our community. Our commitment to all who are hungry will shape and distinguish our work among others to End Hunger Here in eastern Massachusetts.
