K9s For Warriors

Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)3 organization by Shari Duval, K9s For Warriors has become the nation's largest provider of service canines for post-9/11 veterans suffering from PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or MIlitary Sexual Trauma. The program offers an innovative approach to helping veterans heal from invisible wounds while rescuing shelters dogs from abandonment and euthanasia. With each pairing, two lives are saved: we rescue the dog, and the dog rescues the veteran. Our headquarters in Ponte Vedra, FL, holds the majority of our employees, and our new Gold Family Campus is adding new employees periodically as we grow its operations. Our work culture is unique due to our veteran-focused mission, and about 1/3 of our employees are veterans. We are growing rapidly and seeking dynamic employees to grow with us! Mission:?K9s For Warriors is ending veteran suicide and returning our warriors to a life of dignity and independence. We rescue and train shelter dogs to be paired as Service Dogs for warriors with service-connected Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Military Sexual Trauma.
