This company is in the business of baking -- and breaking -- bread. Le Boulanger operates a chain of more than 15 bakery caf?s serving the San Francisco area. The fast-casual bistros offer fresh baked breads, muffins, and other baked goods in addition to a menu of breakfast omelets, Ciabatta crust pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, soups, and a selection of gourmet coffee and espresso drinks. In addition to its dining business, Le Boulanger supplies baked goods to hotels, restaurants, and foodservice distributors through its wholesale division. Roger Brunello started the family-owned business in 1981.
