Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is a nonprofit organization that has provided compassionate, high quality services to better the lives of families in the Omaha area since 1896. Providing quality services regardless of complexity of care or ability to pay, VNA is at the forefront of public health and family service provision to the most vulnerable in Omaha, and has been for over 120 years. VNA operates innovative programs that serve the unique public health, home health and hospice needs of at-risk families throughout Nebraska and western Iowa. Individuals served by VNA are often of low socioeconomic status, have limited health literacy, are vulnerable, and are considered challenging to reach. Considered the area?s ?safety net? healthcare provider, VNA assists patients who other service providers have refused or are unable to serve. Through its many programs, VNA cares for more than 47,000 individuals each year.
