Bonavista Energy

Bonavista Energy Corp. (formerly Bonavista Energy Trust) hopes that its excellent views in Western Canada includes increasing revenues. The exploration and production company focuses on three core areas (Eastern, Northern, and Western) in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. In 2010 the company reported it had more than 1.5 million net acres of undeveloped land (out of a total of 3 million net acres), the bulk of which is in Alberta. Bonavista also reported proved reserves of 222.9 million barrels of oil equivalent. It produces about 75,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (65%, natural gas) and controls about 85% of its production. In 2011 the company converted from a trust to a corporation.
