GK works in middle schools, high schools, community schools and has school year programming for high school students at our New York City and Washington, DC offices. Founded in 1989, Global Kids seeks to address the lack of global education and leadership opportunities for youth from neighborhoods whose racial and ethnic groups are largely underrepresented academically, politically and professionally. Mission:?Global Kids develops youth leaders through dynamic global education and leadership development programs, inspiring underserved youth to achieve academic excellence, self-actualization and global competency, and empowering them to take action on critical issues facing their communities and our world. Our vision is to create an ever-growing network of young people from diverse backgrounds who attain leadership on all levels of society and enter fields of international affairs and public policy.
